Standard we target
Our goal is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. WCAG is the global standard for web accessibility, and Level AA is what most US-based businesses target as a reasonable bar.
What we've done
- Semantic HTML throughout — the page structure (headings, lists, landmarks) makes sense to screen readers without seeing the visual layout.
- Color contrast meets WCAG AA on body copy and primary calls-to-action.
- Forms use proper labels and the GHL embed we use for lead capture conforms to WCAG AA.
- All interactive elements (buttons, links, the mobile nav toggle, the FAQ accordion) work with keyboard alone — Tab to focus, Enter or Space to activate.
- Page text resizes cleanly up to 200% without horizontal scrolling at desktop sizes.
Known gaps
We're being honest — these are the spots we know we still need to improve:
- Decorative photo placeholders (the dark hashed boxes with corner brackets) are CSS-only and don't have alt text. Once we replace placeholders with real photos, every photo will get descriptive alt text.
- The FAQ accordion buttons could benefit from explicit
aria-expandedattributes that update on toggle. Planned. - The mobile menu toggle could use
aria-expandedandaria-controls. Planned.
If something doesn't work for you

Include the page URL, what you were trying to do, and what assistive technology you were using if relevant. We aim to respond within two business days.
Other ways to reach us
If the website itself is hard to use, you can always call or text us at (817) 555-0142 or stop by the shop during business hours. We're a small family-owned business; the people who run the company are the people answering the phone.
