Workmanship guarantee · Since 2019

If we installed it and it fails because of how we installed it, we fix it.

That's the guarantee in one sentence. The longer version below covers what's in scope, what's out, what to do if you ever need to invoke it, and the timeframe. No fine print designed to wriggle out — just clear language.

The four pillars

What the guarantee actually covers.

Workmanship guarantees in our trade are usually buried in fine print. Ours is structured around four claims you can call us on directly.

Workmanship — 1 year

If something we installed or repaired fails within 12 months of completion because of how we did the work, we return and fix it at no charge. Materials we supplied are covered the same period.

  • Drywall patches that crack at the seam
  • Trim that opens at coped joints
  • Fixtures we installed that fall or fail
  • Doors we hung that bind or sag

Estimate match

Final invoice matches the written estimate unless scope changes mid-job — and we always talk through changes before continuing. If the invoice ever comes in higher than the estimate without you approving the change, you don't pay the difference. Period.

  • Estimate is the firm number
  • Scope changes get pre-approved
  • No surprise line items

Clean exit

We don't leave a job site dirtier than we found it. Drop cloths, vacuumed dust, debris hauled off, surfaces wiped down. If you find anything we missed, call us back — we'll handle it without an additional visit charge.

  • Vacuumed and wiped down
  • Debris hauled off
  • Furniture restored to position

Insurance

General liability insurance on every job, every visit, no exceptions. Certificate of insurance available on request before we start any work — most clients don't ask, but the option is there if you want it for your records.

  • General liability on every job
  • COI available on request
  • Family-owned, no rotating subs
What's NOT covered

The honest list of exclusions.

We're not going to bury this — every guarantee has limits. Here are ours, in plain language. If you read these and have questions, ask before you book; we'll talk through any specific situation.

If we patched a drywall section and the wall cracks 8 months later because the foundation shifted, that's not workmanship — it's the foundation. We'll come look and quote the repair, but it doesn't fall under the guarantee. Same goes for water damage we didn't cause, fasteners pulling out due to a structural failure we couldn't have seen, etc.
If you bought the door, fixture, paint, or part and it fails because of a manufacturing defect, that's a warranty claim with the manufacturer — not us. We'll help you document and file if helpful, but the workmanship guarantee covers our labor and materials we supplied, not items you provided.
If we flagged a concern on the estimate (a settling crack that will likely return, an out-of-square door frame that's not in scope, a deck post with a rotted footing) and you opted to proceed without addressing it, the related failure isn't covered. We document these on the estimate so there's no ambiguity later.
Paint that fades after 5 years of sun exposure, hardware that wears out, weatherstripping that compresses with use — these aren't workmanship failures, they're materials reaching the end of their life. The guarantee covers installation and immediate function, not lifetime wear.
If another contractor (electrician, plumber, painter) works on or near something we installed and damages our work, that's between you and them. We'll come back and quote the repair, but it's not covered by the guarantee.
If you ever need to invoke it

Three steps. No paperwork.

01

Call or text us

Same number you used to book originally — (817) 555-0142. Tell us what's happening. Photos help.

02

We come look

Within one business day for active failures (water leak, falling fixture). Within the week for cosmetic issues (cracked paint, opened seam). Free walkthrough either way.

03

We fix it

If it's a workmanship issue, we repair it on the spot or schedule the fix at no charge. If it's outside the guarantee, we tell you why and quote the repair separately — your call from there.

04

No fight, no friction

This is the part that matters. We don't lawyer up over guarantee calls. If we got it wrong, we own it; the goal is to make it right and keep the relationship.

The guarantee comes with every estimate.

Same crew, same standards, same backing on every job — drywall, paint, trim, fixtures, doors, decks.
