What Fort Worth's painting needs look like

Different neighborhoods, different paint mix.

Fort Worth's housing stock spans 100 years. Older inner-loop homes need careful prep on plaster; newer subdivisions are typical drywall jobs. The four scope shapes below cover most of what we paint across the city.

Single Rooms

Bedrooms, baths, dining. The fastest way to refresh a Fort Worth home — most single-room jobs book within the week. Walls or walls + trim + ceiling.

Whole-Floor Refresh

Big in Tanglewood, Westcliff, Wedgwood. Living, kitchen, hallway, multiple bedrooms repainted in one engagement. Single drop-cloth setup, color flow planned across rooms.

Cabinet Refresh

TCU-area and Tanglewood kitchens are the cabinet-refresh sweet spot. Original-builder cabinets get degreased, sanded, primed, sprayed off-site, reinstalled looking like new at a third the cost of refacing.

Period Plaster Walls

Fairmount, Mistletoe Heights, Park Hill, Ryan Place, and other pre-1960 neighborhoods often have plaster instead of drywall. Plaster needs different prep — bonding primer, hairline-crack filling — but the result is exceptional when done right.

Fort Worth painting FAQ

What Fort Worth homeowners ask.

Single-room jobs often book within the week we hear from you. Multi-room and whole-floor refreshes typically schedule 1–2 weeks out — they need a multi-day commitment on our calendar plus a day for color and paint pickup. Cabinet refreshes need 2–3 weeks lead time because we spray off-site to control overspray and dust.
Yes — homes in Fairmount, Mistletoe Heights, Park Hill, and other pre-1960 inner-loop neighborhoods often have plaster walls instead of drywall. Plaster takes paint differently than drywall — needs different prep (filling hairline cracks, priming with a bonding primer for old surfaces) and we'll spec that on the estimate. The finish is exceptional when prep is done right; rushed jobs on plaster look terrible six months later.
We don't push specific colors — we paint whatever you pick. That said, the most-requested neutrals across Fort Worth right now are Sherwin-Williams Agreeable Gray, SW Accessible Beige, and Benjamin Moore Classic Gray for walls; SW Pure White and BM Simply White for trim. We're happy to bring sample drawdowns to the walkthrough so you can see the colors in your actual lighting before committing.
Yes — exterior painting is a separate scope (siding, fascia, trim, doors). It's weather-dependent so we typically schedule exterior work April through October in Fort Worth. The Texas summer UV is brutal on south- and west-facing walls — we use 100% acrylic exterior paints (SW SuperPaint or Emerald, BM Aura) that hold up to it. Ask for an exterior estimate the same way you would interior.
